Sick Pet Care & Diagnostics
Shoreview Veterinary is fully equipped and staffed with a very experienced team of veterinary professionals. We will be there for you either in person or through virtual care whenever your pet is sick or injured.
This includes:
- We have a complete in-house diagnostic lab, radiology and surgery facilities and the ability to diagnose and manage many types of acute and chronic conditions.
- We can also arrange for the transfer of care to any of the 24-hour veterinary emergency and referral centres in the GTA when this is considered the best course of action, ensuring a seamless transfer of records and information.

What happens if my pet becomes sick when you are closed?
All of our clients have access to our 24/7 phone or online virtual care service. Calls are first directed to a Registered Veterinary Technician who will take your information and triage your concern. If your concern is considered urgent enough to require immediate attention by a veterinarian, they will direct you to the most suitable 24-hour emergency service based on location, staffing levels and wait times, which they update in real time. If your concern is not deemed as serious, you will be given the option of seeing a veterinarian virtually, either by video conference or phone. Seeing a vet virtually will incur a consult fee of $115. The call service and RVT triage are made available to all of our clients at no charge, and no membership is required.
Can I see you in an emergency?
Yes, we are fully prepared both in terms of our facility and our team of veterinary care professionals to be of service to you and your pet in an emergency during our regular hours. Outside of hours, our 24/7 care line can help you find the help you need in the most rapid and efficient way possible.
